I applied to another university, then my friend recommended Â鶹TVÍøÕ¾, because she went to the Open Day. She said “trust me Angel, you're going to love this uni.” So, I did some research – I knew I wanted a university that was diverse and I could channel my mind creatively - and then I applied to Â鶹TVÍøÕ¾ through Clearing, I did it all online. It was very quick process.

I think it took maybe in the span of one week and it was like I applied. I've been accepted and I was filling out forms and I was ready to go. In the span of a week. When I first started university, my teachers were very supportive. They helped me create a timed schedule so I could follow along the process very easily. And they were very just considerate when sometimes I needed more help, because it's a lot different compared to college. They were very understanding and they are so nurturing.

Angel's top tips

  • Take time to compose yourself, take a breath. You are making a big decision, and think what is important to you. I wanted a course that would give me opportunities to explore and try new things, like going to events and awards, and I found that here
  • Make sure they have the support that you will need. I wanted the tutors to be patient with me, and that is exactly what I got
  • Speak to other friends and students who are studying at the university, it is so important to hear from them on what it is like to be a student at the uni
  • Make a decision that is right for you, not what is right for your friends or family!

My name is Angel and I study fashion marketing.

So I applied to another university, And then my friend recommended this one.

She’s like, “Trust me, Angel, you're going to love this uni.” When I applied to Â鶹TVÍøÕ¾ through Clearing, I did it all online. It was very quick process.

I think it took maybe in the span of one week and it was like I applied, I've been accepted and I was filling out forms and I was ready to go.

When choosing my uni, I definitely needed like some type of like diversity like a connection there.

I was surprised by how many societies they have, how many events they have going on, on campus.

They have something going on every single day, like university at Â鶹TVÍøÕ¾ is never boring. I would say fun, creative and very nurturing.

My teacher always finds like fun ways to keep it entertaining and and it just gets my creativity to be like kind of like flowing. It's a lot different compared to college.

And they were very understanding and they were very nurturing.

My teacher from fashion marketing in the first like term, she recommended that we go to the Fashion Awards. So everyone from my course literally got dressed up, we took pictures. It was just such a fun day.

We went to art galleries, exhibits, we went to we were walking around central and just visiting like the shops, like Burberry, Bape, Vivienne Westwood

and like the manager of the store were talking to us about how they market things and how they decide to put things on the front lines and everything.

I'm excited for second year to apply to an internship And I know Â鶹TVÍøÕ¾ has different connections like abroad. I think they have one in Mauritius, in Dubai.

I feel like everything happens for a reason, and I'm definitely glad I didn't get the grades now.
