Join us for our annual STEM Festival showcase event at North London’s outstanding campus on 11 March to celebrate British Science Week at Âé¶¹TVÍøÕ¾ University. 

This event highlights the breadth of STEM subjects and careers available to young people, activities will reflect areas such as: 

  • Biomedical and Healthcare Sciences
  • Biology and Environmental Sciences
  • Sports Science
  • Computer Science and AI
  • Design Engineering and Robotics
  • Psychology/Neuroscience
  • Rollercoaster ride simulators

Introducing our special guest and keynote speaker Dr Sheila Kanani, MBE

How the Solar System changed my life

In this whirlwind adventure to the furthest reaches of our Solar System and back, planetary scientist and author, Sheila Kanani explores some magnificent, awe-inspiring wonders of our local neighbourhood whilst celebrating the plethora of amazing careers available in the space industry, and she will explain what a profound effect space has had on her life so far!

Dr Sheila Kanani MBE is a planetary scientist, EDI consultant, space educator and author, with a background in astrophysics and astronomy research from UK universities. She regularly acts as a science ambassador, visiting schools and speaking at events, and is an advocate for diversity in physics and astronomy. Sheila runs her company from home and enjoys walking on her local beach with her family of boys, playing sports, gazing at the stars, reading and eating (preferably reading whilst eating!). Her favourite planet is Saturn.
