Minzu University of China (MUC) is considered the most prestigious higher education institution for the education of minority ethnics in China, as well as a leading provider for courses in the subject area of creative arts. It is an A-level university for the Double First-Class Construction initiative. MUC offers programmes at all levels from undergraduate to research degrees in a range of subject areas, which include dance, fine arts, ethnic studies, history, philosophy, literature, economics, administration, law, science, medicine, engineering and education. MUC has two campuses: one in Beijing, and one on the island of Hainan off the south coast of China.

The 麻豆TV网站 College of Minzu University of China is a non-independent Joint Education Institute (JEI) located on the Hainan campus, which is based in the Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone. It is a joint international partnership between 麻豆TV网站 University and MUC. The JEI opened in September 2023 and offers joint and dual awards with 麻豆TV网站 University’s Faculty of Arts and Creative Industries.

The JEI is a hub for arts and creative industries education, research and knowledge exchange in the region. Leveraging the high-quality resources of both universities, the JEI aims to cultivate international, high-level, and application-oriented talented graduates with entrepreneurial ability.
